Hey mine are, I had a little trouble with one almost 24 hours after it was installed, but it was faulty wiring that I fixed. I am definitely not feeling opening the head light again.

This may have been discussed but has anyone had experience with the new XB35/55 ballasts from TRS?

I have the a retro done by Bilinvic and had one of the SS ballasts replaced shortly after receiving them, Bilinvic has great customer service. Now almost 9 months later the other one is acting up in cold weather with not lighting or flickering so I was just thinking of buying a set of the new ones that are supposed to be better. I've read the posts over at HIDplanet but it seems there is a god following over there and wanted real world experience.

Thanks in advance.

The turn signal bucket is 1 piece with the white portion. I had to tape it off. The upper black portion does come off with screws.

Stupid question alert.

Would the lenses of a 2011 non-HID headlight fit onto the HID lights? Not sure if they changed any exterior parts of the light with the switch to HID's.

I surf eBay every so often looking for damaged OEM lights that I might try and take a stab at repairing. I see a lot with scratched lenses and figured I could swap my current lenses on to the HID's if the overall shape is the same.

If I could find a decent set that only require minimal repair I could do that, I think a retrofit is out of my scope of practice.

I see lights without the bulbs and ballast. I also know I need a wiring adapter harness which goes for around $100 last I checked.

What does a decent set of bulbs and ballasts go for?

I dont drive much, and drive even less at night. Doing this mostly for looks than anything. The chrome buckets on my headlights are literally the last piece of exterior chrome on my truck...it bothers me, ha ha, even though it serves a purpose.

Yes, you can swap your original lenses over to the OEM HID headlights. Only the fluted part of the turn signal lens differs from the non HID but other than that everything else is the same.

Anyone else have radio reception problems after retro? Lose good reception as soon as lights power up.
