true man. i just kinda figured if someone posted to get this thread to the top of the "new posts" list where someone like yourself would be able to properly give a professional comment.

i thought tho, the mention of beer would surely point out that i didn't know and was being sarcastic about it.

i didn't realize that i nailed it to fixing the solution, minus the beer of course.

I usually just remove the PCM, dunk it in water, let it dry in the sun for a day, then reinstall. Great! My drunk and high as hell friend showed me this.

Nice home grown computer advice buddy. These are 30K and up trucks.

This probably will not help, but I just reset my computer to factory settings with my HyperTec, before I take it into the shop for an AC issue.

OH come on man, clearly you could tell i had some humor regarding this.
the beer part was an obvious humor. as for disconnecting the battery, i was thinking of appoching this like a wifi modem. everyone will tell you to unplug the modem for 15 mins then plug it back in to possibly fix your issue.

anyways, serious question for you....

GOT A TUNER????

or did your dealership plug into your truck?

I knew. Haha

But I do not have a programmer. The previous owner did. It had a 4" rancho + 35s. He returned it to stock, then sold me the truck. I removed the lift. Now its driving funny. Not so smooth. It feels like its got an engine break. It slows hard all on its own without me even pressing on the break.

Finally took it to the dealership. The service advisor informed me that it had the wrong gear ratio the whole time. He said the difference in how it drives would be like night and day. It's shifting a lot smoother, but that 3rd gear is outta wack. Taking it back soon. Again.

i thought you just wanted to reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for a hour....?

what does the 3rd gear ratio have to do with electrical?

Not just 3rd gear ratio, tard. Overall gear ratio programmed into my trucks computer.

I couldn't just reset it it needed to be reprogrammed with the correct ratio.

3rd gear just so happens to be acting weird.
