Default Researching projector kits. Questions??

I think I'm going to finally tackle a retrofit and I have several questions. Was looking at the morimito mini stage 3 kit and the fx-r stage 3 kit. Is there a dramatic difference in performance? The mini says its an easier install. How much easier? And I guess the mini is only available in 35 watt. Dramatic difference in light out put between the 35 and 55? Do they come with good install instructions? And finally, will they be the same size in the housing? Thanks for your help!!

I’m not building my own but rather heavily researching my options before I finalize my order with my retrofitter and going on the TRS website (http://www.theretrofitsource.com/trs_tech_clear_lenses.php) is the best thing you can do for yourself. They explain EVERY single option and configuration in an easy to read format and i have learned a lot about what set up is best for my needs. For instance a 55w ballast decreases any bulbs life by 25% so for me id rather use a 35w and have a longer lasting product. Also they explain how something as simple as turning your lights on and off and not having you lights set to "auto" will increase the life and performance of your bulbs/harness. You can really get some great research off there, hope this helps.

Thanks for the link. I will check it out. For those of you with 55w. Are you getting flashed a lot? I was thinking even with projectors 55w might be blinding.

As long as you have them installed and adjusted properly you should have no problems! I have the 2013 oem hid's w/ 35w bulbs in my 2012, and their properly aimed! Ive never been brighted by a oncoming driver, same would go for a properly aimed 55w setup!

I think I might go with the morimoto mini bc the instal is said to be easier and this is my first retro. I think the 35watt will do just fine for my needs (mostly around town) and it seems like they are supposed to last longer and have better reliability. Any of you have any reviews?
