Default Replacment battery

My battery in my 09 SCREW is about to bite the dust. Is it worth replacing it with a motorcraft or is something aftermarket just as good? Trying not to break the bank, looking for most bang for buck.

Thanks!

You need to run that by a dealer and have them look at it man.

I was thinking that the Motorcraft batteries had a 5 year warranty or something like that?

I've been replacing my stock batteries for nearly 20 years with Interstate Batteries. Not kidding here - I've never had to replace a Interstate Battery. Had one in a car in Tucson, AZ for over 7 years and it stayed wit the car when sold. Just replaced my '99 F150 a few weeks ago in Denver, CO and it had a nearly 9-year old Interstate Battery that was running very strong with zero issues.

That's two extreme climates on opposite ends of the spectrum with identically good results.

I got 9 years out of the Interstate in one of my trucks. The other truck is 6 years now on the Interstate Battery and still going strong.

Maybe they have good car batteries, but last time I used them was with their 9-volt battery and it caused my $4500 experimental rocket with scientific payload to crash without a parachute deployment. Grabbed the others I had left over and did a volt test on them and they were all running between 5-6 volts and weren't sufficient to blow my black powder charge. Never touching Interstate ever again!

I had redundant batteries and redundant charges built in and because the batteries were weak they all failed.

Never tried one of those in my truck before

Hehe yeah I bet they wouldn't work to well for starting your truck.

Didn't mean to thread jack but I was just sharing my experience with the Interstate battery. If it helps you share my hate for Interstate anymore, I built the rocket for NASA so it was our Tax Dollars that crashed and burned in the corn field that fateful day.

Interstate is a decent truck battery. But for rocket science...couldn't you get the best battery money could buy...Jeez

Well I heard of them first as car batteries and since Energizer and Duracell don't make car batteries I thought I was buying the best. And I'm just talking little 9-volts that you put in your camera if there was any confusion so I figured how could you buy a bad one, they were actually the most expensive ones on the shelf.

I've got the everstart walmart battery in my '91. Year and still going strong as expected, but they come with a 3 year warranty and are the cheapest I've seen around
