When your temporary spare tire is installed

When one of your road tires needs to be replaced with the temporary spare,
the TPMS will continue to identify an issue to remind you that the damaged
road wheel/tire needs to be repaired and put back on your vehicle.

Ah, thank you. Saw these posts and went off to Sam's Club. They were able to put all 4 sensors in, no problems with the programming. Yaaaay, no more message & light on the dash.

I ordered a set of Ford OEM TPMS sensors off of Amazon. Picked up the Motocraft learning tool off of Ebay for around $15. Changed them out in my driveway. Used the floor jack and strap method to break the bead near the sensors. Easy to do.

Since I've got new rims to put on and my truck just crested 100k, I went ahead and bought a set of 4 Ford TPMS off Rock Auto (-5% off) since it's recommended to change them out every 100k. I'll hand them over to the tire shop once I've decided on a tire size (conflicted between 35x12.5 vs 33x12.5 in terms of how much trimming is involved for 20x9 +1mm rim and 2.25-2.5" front lift).

If I ever decide to get a fifth wheel to match the rest, then I'll have a new TPMS installed in that.
