Default Replacement Shocks

Looking for a recommendation for replacement shocks.

2010 F150 5.4 4x4 Supercrew 72,XXX miles.
Stock suspension, BF Goodrich A/T

I'm not looking for a lift or level, just replacement shocks for the OEM ones.

No Hardcore Offroading, City/Highway and a few old logging roads in Northern Michigan.

I used the Bilstein HD on my 2008 and really liked the way the truck rides on them. Much better control. I replaced the stock shocks at 24,000 miles.

I put the Bilstein 5100 on my 2013 at 3,000 miles. I wanted a slight lift in the front, which is why I chose the 5100 series.

I used upgraded Monroe shocks with good results.

I've had good luck with KYB in the past. Pretty much a factory replacement, just slightly better. Budget friendly too.

This should be an interesting thread...

My new FX will have Rancho shocks but unsure which model (likely base RS5000?). On my jeep, I've gone through 2 sets of Rancho 9000 and now running Bilstein 5100 (silver). My Nissan Frontier is still on original OEM Bilstein yellows at 71.5k. For stock suspension with no lift, a similar set of those for F150 would be my first choice.

Rancho Monotube shocks, i perfer the MT7000 series. on sale most places and in stock. stick with a monotube versus dual piston shock. factory are twin tube design, i have used the Rancho MTs on my other 4wd trucks.

Just put a set of Rancho RS7000MT's on the rear of mine and it's light years better. Can't wait to do the fronts this summer. Pretty budget friendly @ $89 or so each.
