Default Replace camshafts?

Should I replace camshafts at ~300k?

if they aren't scored or deep wear I dont think I would just for the hell of it. If you're taking it all apart anyway then I'd say try to find the specs/tolerances for the cams and cam bores and check them. If the cam bores are worn probably better off buying a new(er) set of heads

What would even bring on this question? Is there something wrong with them? You wouldn't just replace the crankshaft simply because it has 300k, would you? I'm just not following the thought process here
