Default Reoccurring brake issues

Hello everyone. I have a 2012 Supercab 2WD with the 3.7L. Over the last year I’ve had some suspicious brake issues that I wanted some opinions on.

First, I replaced the front rotors and pads around 100k miles. One started to scrape and stick in the rotor, but they hadn’t been replaced in so long I didn’t think twice.

Second, the rear brakes lock up one day without warning. It felt like they were being applied constantly (kind of like the parking brake being stuck on). Took it to the shop and the mechanic said “nothing was wrong” so we just replaced the rear pads, drums and parking brake shoes.

Third (at 115k miles now), the front right brake locks up as if it’s stuck on. Take it to the same shop and the brake line was “internally pinched”. Of course, it ruined the new rotor and it couldn’t be machined. So I replaced the rotor and brake line.

My question for everyone here is what can I do or where can I go to have my brake system totally looked at? I feel like something bigger is at play here and I’d like to avoid more costly brake issues. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

The front pads are probably installed wrong causing your issue. Make sure the inboard pads have the ears on them and the outboard do not.

The brake hoses failing internally is a known issue.
I recently had a caliper seize and cook a rotor.
Shop changed both calipers and found the hose on the opposite side to the seized caliper was restricted.
125k miles on a 2013.

If you've had one hose fail, I'd change the other if you're concerned about future failures.

Thank you, that’s what I was looking for. I didn’t know these hoses fail often or after 100k miles, but I might change them now.

Update:

I took it to a specialist shop that deals with race vehicles for chassis and brakes. They looked at everything and found the master cylinder was the issue. All the calipers were still good, but they said it was likely the issue from the start.
