Default removing rear block.. hate the rake

can i remove the rear block, who has done so. its on a 13 4 door short bed 4x4, if tthat matters at all.. i dont plan on towing ever, and want to get rid of the factory rake untill i can convince myself to get a level when its time to buy tires, cause i know ill want something bigger than stock..

anyways, anyone have any pics? or how to right up on removing the stock blocks? will it affect the ride any? any negatives to doing this?

Just get the level, it looks good even with stock tires...

I had mine removed for a year and a half, no noticeable difference from stock ride wise. if you intend to keep it that way, you should shorten or change the bump stop to get full suspension range back, as it will bottom on big hits.

Its super easy, just block the front wheels, remove the nuts from the (4) leaf spring U-bolts, and with a block of wood placed under the leaf spring next to the axle, jack up the leaf spring enough to get the block out. Let the leaf back down onto the axle and re-install the u-bolts. Repeat on other side. You may have to wrestle with the axle a little to get it to align with the leaf spring pins again, but it is pretty easy still.

I don't have any pics, but is looks a lot like a 2wd that is lifted 1" in front.
