Default Removing Front License Plate Bracket

Anyone know how to remove the front license plate bracket for the V8 models (I know the Ecoboost is different)? The bottom portion is easy. There are two plastic tabs that simply need lifting. However, I can't tell what is holding the top portion on. I don't know whether there are screws or what holding it in. I searched the web and couldn't find any information or pictures.

It has two clips that expand once pushed through a hole. You may be able to reach behind and squeeze the fins and push them out from above. One side of mine was broken and I ended up breaking the second one trying to get it out. Luckly a new bracket was only $15 on ebay.

I kicked mine in about -20 weather and it shattered. Just picked the pieces out of the front of the truck after.

There is enough room to reach behind to squeeze the tabs to release the holder.

Otherwise, as others have noted ... Rip and Tear!
