Default Removing Decals

I'd like to remove the large "4X4" stickers on the rear quarters of the bed. Is this just a matter of using a heat source and working slowly, or are there some special procedures I need to use? Thanks for the info.

I waited until it was a warm day about 80 and worked slow and carefully and they pulled right off....

Hot sunny day and a hair dryer set on high then peel if off slowly, don't use a heat gun you could burn the paint.

You can easily do without the heat. Just go slow.

I used a heat gun which actually made it harder. Just warm it up a little with a hair dryer and use your fingernail to start removing it. The heat gun, even with fast passes, will make it shrivel up. With just a little heat, it will peel off in one piece.

Use a citrus-based cleaner like Goof Off Citrus and the glue will come off.

Also, get a 2" drop shackle kit to lower the rear end and make it level. Trust me, you don't want to look like that guy who jacked up the rear on a 2WD truck.

Better to have 4WD and look 2WD.

Disregard this advice if you're going to put 5 fat chicks in the truck to make it level. If that's the case, you need more advice than I can provide.

Has this ever happened before? I've never heard of anyone removing the stickers from their truck. What a novel idea.

Does that make the side look empty or too long. Too much free board, if you will. Any picks? I have an extended cab and I'm not crazy about finding something to put back if I don't like it.

I had the sfe stickers. Was scared at first but really easy. Waited for hot day. My truck was outside all day while at work. Then when I got home, just used my finger nail and pulled slowly. Took less than a minute or two to do each side.
Don't be afraid.
