Default Remote Starter override switch not working.

Hey guys...first post here. I couldn't find anything relating to this so I hope you can help me out.

I have a 2009 F150 Platinum and have been having trouble with the remote starter. I had reprogramed it in the past without trouble. Well it is acting up again. I press the start button and everything happens like it should then the horn beeps 4 times and it don't start. So I was just going to set it back to factory defaults but when I press the override button I get nothing. Tried it with key on/off, brake on/off, key in the accessory position and nothing. Am I over looking something simple here. I am avoiding bringing it to the dealership because I don't want to pay someone to push my buttons Any suggestions would be much appreciated since THE WINTER IS COMMING......

Do you have a check engine light? That will cause the remote start to not work.

2009, did not come with factory remote start. Do you have an aftermarket of a Ford Accessory series 100 or 200? One Way or Two way?

i just checked the remote and it says ford on the back of it so it must be ford aftermarket but dont know how to tell what series it is. Not sure how to tell if it is one or two way. The override button and little LED light are both by the OBD plug comming out of a wire bundle. I typically press and hold the blue key button on the remote until i hear the truck horn beep.

Usually the one way series 100, has just one remote start button on it . The two way series 100 has two buttons on it (Remote start and panic) as well as a red LED. The Series 200 key fob has six buttons on it, Panic, 1, 2, Lock, Unlock, and a blue remote start button.

From what you are describing, it looks like a 200 series Ford Accessories.

Here are the programming instructions:

I would reset all options to factory default, then set Bank 4-1, Tachless Mode to ON.

Thanks soaringfalcon.....You are correct, it is a 200 series key Fob. I am currently using the link you provided and have used these same instructions in the past with success.

The problem I am having is I cant even get it to go into Transmitter Learn Mode....I insert key, turn to run and press system override button for 10 seconds and nothing happends. The horn don't honk and the lights don't flash indicating it is inTransmitter Learn Mode. I have tried everythning and nothing gets it to enter learn mode......

Look under the driver side dash, locate the Series 200 module, unplug everything from it, wait 15 minutes, plug everything back in and try it again.
