It has been nothing but trouble from the start, I am sickened when I think of the money spent for this truck and the zero respect, responsibility, and ownership that the dealership takes for their mistakes and lousy customer service.

I had a verbal meltdown in the service department today and left with less then satisfactory results for this huge F$&K UP.

They also cut me an extra key because I didn't bring our other key and it wasn't programmed. Needless to say, not noticing until I got home that they cut the key wrong and it doesn't work. You may think it isn't a big deal but I live an hour away from the dealership and am down to one key until further notice.

I am pretty Jaded right now regarding my Ford Truck and the people I bought it from.
Well how's the truck? Sounds as though you may need a new dealer for support (maybe not an option), but are you happy with the F-150?

Wow man that is a bummer. It sounds like that dealership just has extremely poor customer service, i dunno what your options are but i would find a new dealership to use if u can. You should have just told them it is not the right remote starter u wanted and not paid for it, i mean dont pay for something u dont want. it was their bad and they could have taken the system out and then order the right one. Hopefully u still like the truck itself tho. Im almost in the same boat as u I only have one ford dealership in my small town and next closest one is 3 1/2 hrs away.

From what I understand...No, you cannot get the 6-button Remote Start/Alarm System as a factory-installed option. It is is dealer-installed option only. The only factory-installed option is the separate key-fob remote start only...and it lists for $345 if you order it on a new truck.

The 6-button is quite a bit more than that...based on the dealer. For example, the dealer I bought my truck from wanted $623 installed. I shopped around and got mine from a different dealer, installed for $421. One guy on here reported his dealer quoted him $1150 installed. So, the price is set by individual dealers.

My Viper 5901 has way more range than the Ford system, zoned alarm, 2 way paging, and they hooked up a tailgate switch (open tailgate = alram going off while armed) and ran an extra trailer door zone (plug in your trailer and if the trailer doors are opened it goes off) out to the rear of the bed for under $1000 cdn installed.

Ford in Calgary wanted $700 for their system. I'm happy with what I chose, works great and the range is unreal.

Anyone got all the part #s for the Ford remote start with the one key fob. Can it be installed by the owner or does it have to be installed by the dealer? thanks

I believe this is the correct P/N 7W3Z-19G364-AA-F509 says it requies securilock kit #4 P/N 7L2Z-19G365-AA for install. I found it listed on

http://www.partscheap.com/Ford_F_150...64-aa-f509.htm

I'm researching and considering doing the install myself.
