FWIW, the remote access by Ford has been discounted steeply recently by some. Check the vendor forum here, you can beat aftermarket by a surprising amount.

I went this route took me less than a half hour install and programming, the kit comes with 2 keys with a fourth button for remote start on each key. I don't have a distance issue I can start it from any room in my house

Comes with two keys? For how much? Where is this discounted kit you mentioned O.o

I would like to have two keys anyways, but I'm paying $212 for one regular key without the remote start button on it I believe.

Return it, that's outrageous. You can get a pair of keys for less than $40

Do those work with the Ford remote start or no? As easy as the install sounds plus low price, I may lean towards the factory remote start.

I paid $140 for the OEM ford key and it's on the way to my local dealer, and it costs $72 to program it.

The OEM bidirectional has a range of 1,000 feet. It's a separate fob, but this kit is plug n play and also includes the scalable shock sensor. Great price also. You'd still need your local dealer to activate it in IDS

Yes, if you wish to go genuine Ford with 2 keys and antenna here's the best price on the net. Under $200 with free shipping.
