Default Remote start

K I got a remote start for Christmas. I have a 2011 5.0. I have read on hear that people get this and have a grinding noise when starting it from a warm start. The ford tech told my dad it won't have a high idle to warm up faster. Idk I'm very Leary not to have it installed. Anyone have a 5.0 remote start ?

i just installed mine today...... Santa also brought me one! ill post more when i get it activated this week, however i have not heard anything about the issue you mention. as far as the high idle issue, there is a feature called "quiet start", and if you activate that feature, it only allows the engine to idle just high enough to run, thus limiting the noise output. however, if you disable that feature, then it should start as normal.

Got one, occasionally I shut it off in neutral, then put it in park. The remote start wont work after that. Once you start it with the key, and shut it off in park its fine. I dont know about it not warming up, we havent had any winter yet here. But the A/C works great. Never had a grinding noise.
