Default Relocating the Audio Controls (iPad Mini Install)

After living with the iPad without the audio control for about a week I decided to relocate the controls. I've made a template, now I need some material to make it. I'm new at this so fiberglass seems daunting, is there another material that I can use that is fairly easy to work with?

I think fiberglass is really your best option because it gives you the flexibility you need. I have worked with fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc. it is really not that difficult. I would suggest that you experiment first if you feel uncomfortable with mixing the resins and/or applying the fabric matting so you don't waste material. Also, make sure you use enough release agent so the mold releases the part when it cures. Follow the mixing ratios with the resin and catalyst as directed so you get full cure and not a "soft" part. I would like to see your progress....good luck.

Edit: Also, when rolling the fabric in the part mold make sure you get the fabric saturated completely and roll out all the air bubbles.
