Exclamation Red is Dread on Strut Bolt!

Yesterday I was working on a level kit for my 2013 FX2.
It was a piece of cake until I got to the lower strut bolt. I have tried everything including freeze and release with a breaker bar with a 2' extension pipe.
I can not get the thing loose. It looks like there is some RED (permanent) thread lock on the threads. I have never had any work done on my suspension. Does it come from the factory with red lock tight? Is this normal?
I ended up putting it all back together. Any suggestions before I take it to the shop and pay a fortune?

Get an impact wrench. May need to be 3/4".
I had a tight bolt and hired a tire service truck to come over. Snapped it loose immediately.

How much was the service truck? Who did you use?

Don't remember as was long ago.
I stopped by a tire shop that had a service truck and ask if he could come by.
All he had to do was start the compressor and pull the hose and gun to the front of my truck.
Make a few phone calls to some of the tire dealers that provide truck tire service. If your part is all ready to do, they should just charge for a service call.

The bolt I couldn't get loose was on the harmonic balancer. I had a long cheater bar and a 6' pipe. Wouldn't budge.
The impact broke it loose immediately. Everything else was out of the way so he was able to get right at it.

This is a great excuse to buy an impact gun. My guess is a cordless one would get your bolt off. Or you could spring for a new compressor and all.

Cordless won't even get your lugs off at 150ft-lbs. go corded or air.

My 1/2" 110V one pulled them off my 2009 when I put the bilsteins on. The hammer action slowly broke it loose.

Depends on the model, we have a 1/2" cordless impact at work from Snap-on that will break studs off if the threads are galled.
