There's a reason companies have stuff made in China: cost of labor. China takes orders. They use the cheapest crap for materials possible to sell to their "clients" (heck, they don't care... they're the same ones who put Borax in noodles, poisons in toothpaste and lead in "lead-free" kid's toys); as long as they "meet the designer's specs", which almost never takes into account quality of materials. The Port of Oakland catches ships full of non-consumer-friendly products all the time

For a real eye-opener, watch the documentary "The High Cost of Low Prices" as just one example.

I had a Chinese guy welding for me some on a union job years ago (he was actually pretty good!). After almost breaking his face when his 12" adjustable wrench's jaw broke, I looked at it... "Made in China". Figures. I took the wrench, and everything else in his tool bucket that said the same thing on it and threw them into the dumpster, telling him loud enough for the whole crew to hear: "Chinese tools = JUNK! Buy good stuff or look for another job". He got new stuff.

We all vote with our wallets. The Chinese gov't is communist and oppresses their people horribly. The US gov't has also indebted itself to China to the tune of $Billions of dollars, and China continues to pull shenanigans that endanger the health and safety of people around the world. I, for one, do all I can to avoid supporting such a regime (and I have many friends in China - not allowed to tell you where they are though). Any one who buys something from China is destined to get what they pay for.

"China" on a product, means that 99% of the time it equals "JUNK". If you don't agree, read the newspaper more...

I have the Recon smoked third brake light and turn signals and haven't had any problems... i would agree that nobody makes better quality headlights than the factory..

Actually, the US puts out more harmful products than china could ever hope too. Look at what we are doing to food now, countries don't even want our grains anymore.
