Recon illuminated emblems reviews..
I am debating on some amber illuminated emblems for my truck ..
First has anyone owned them for over a year ?, and if so how are they preforming now?
My fx4 in fully murdered other then the amber on my turn signals and raptor grille lights.. so i figured the dark amber of the illuminated emblems would kinda blend in a bit with my theme ...
Can i see a picture of the ambers f150 emblems turned on and off please?
thanks

A few pics for you. Have had these for two months. Got them from a Forum member who traded trucks and took them off his old one. A brighter early morning pic, one middle of the day lit up and one turned off. During the day. Not lit, they look dark Amber or a brownish. Mine have the black surround around the F150, you can also get them with chrome accent rather than black. I love them! A cool Mod. Excuse the crappy winter tire pics. Lol. The middle pic has my summers back on from last week.

Recon illuminated emblem review
I have had these for several years. They are not good.
they work and look great when new, but they do not hold up to sun and the elements.
First, the LEDs start to randomly fail, and the plastic construction fades and crumbles badly due to sun exposure. OEM quality? Hardly!
Recon replaced my first deteriorated set at a "steep discount" ($100).
Those are now falling apart just as the first set, even though these were supposedly an "improved" design.
. If your truck is garaged and not driven in a sunny, southern state you might get good use from these.
Trucks used daily, and in hot, southern climates? Not so good.
