Default Recon bulb ?

So I got new bulbs for my headlights from recon and I love em but when you turn on the fog lights it looks stupid. Blue headlights, yellow fogs like dumb so I bought some new bulbs for the fog lights. Then after looking around here I saw that some people have had issues with the fog light housings melting because of changing the bulbs. I contacted recon about this and they said they have never heard of a issue like this with there bulbs.

So my question is has anyone had a issue with the 5600 kelvin platinum blue bulbs melting there fog lights lens or housing?

I really don't want to buy new fog light housings

I tried the Recon white bulbs in some aftermarket fog lights, they were 55w just like what the 55w I took out, the lights that came in my fogs were too yellowish for me, so I wanted white. But they were so hot they melted my new lights, but they were brighter than what came in my fog lights.

Stock foglights are safe with 35w but most 55w will melt the lens.

5600 kelvin is just the color, look for the watts like 55w, which Recons are. The higher the watts the hotter the bulb, inless you get hid's they run cooler.

Got my bulbs today and they are 42 watt. Stock bulbs that I took out are 37 watt. I contacted recon and they said they haven't ever heard of there bulbs melting any housings. I'm going to give it a try and see what happens and I'll have to keep an eye on em in the meantime
