Rear window at night
My truck is a 2014 xlt 4x4 5.0 scab. During the daylight hours, while driving, the rear window looks clean and spotless. I have the power slider rear window. During the hours of darkness the rear window looks filthy. Kind of reminds me of a window with a lot of water spots that have built up over time. It is very visible when a vehicle is behind. Could this be from the tinting done at the factory ? I have cleaned with window several times and it is clean but still looks dirty at night. Full of bubbles like I said it reminds me of water spots.
I can't recall ever seeing what your describing, but I know the auto dim feature at first would make me do a double take because the rear window does look quite different thru the dimmed feature especially if the sliding portion is open.
As for the tinting, factory is the actual glass not a film, like the aftermarket type where bubbling could occur.

1. Tint isn't done at factory. The glass itself has a tint build into it. No film on it unless the dealer did it or you have had it done after the fact.
2. The auto dimming feature can make it appear weird at night at times.
3. What are you cleaning the window with? I use specific glass towels that require no product or chemicals to get windows clean. One dry one and one damp one and they clean the windows perfectly.
