Default rear window explosion

has anyone had their rear window explode? mine just did, 2012 lariet, window fogeed up so turned on rear heater and after 3 minutes.... BOOM!! driver side rear looks like a mosaic with a million pcs glued together. does ford have a technical bulletin out there just for this? what are my options to fix it? any info would help!!!

Dozens of threads on here about that.

If your auto auto insurance has glass coverage have it replaced.

Like mentioned dozens of threads. Some people have been lucky with Ford paying for it, some not so much. Once it’s fixed, just disconnect it. Save yourself some headache

Welcome to the club!

Mine exploded last year about this time and now the new ones defrost feature no longer works. The glass place that replaced it is replacing it for free since it has a one year warranty against defects. At least I get another year of the defrost feature during warranty period and if it makes past then, I'll disconnect it for good.

Like others have stated, it's all over the forum of this all to common rear window design failure by Ford. They won't acknowledge it in any shape or form so you are more or less on your own.
