Default Rear view camera acting up?

so i did a quick search and didnt come up with anything. sometimes when i put my truck in reverse the camera (in the rearview mirror) doesnt come on.. BUT it has only happened when im in a dark area. is the camera triggered by light? or is there a short or something?

Mine works fine some days and doesn't work at all or is fuzzy the next. Haven't had time to take it to the dealer yet to fix. I'm guessing a loose connection.

It's a defective camera. They replaced mine, same problem. I also had the dissapearing lines.

Since I bought my truck I've had the disappearing lines and the blue screen that eventually will turn off. It definitly has a mind of its own at times!

I have been having problems for weeks. The center line is off-center, The picture flickers on and off. I have also had the guidelines disappear on me.

Try unplugging the connector going into the rear view mirror and plug it back in. It might just need a re-seat.

the thing is, im not having any of those issues. my lines never disappear or get fuzzy.. i just thought it might have to have a little light to activate bc i literally never have problems with it during the day.. only when im in a very dark spot
