Default Rear Splash sheild fall out

Today I noticed that the rear splash shield was dragging. I removed it and threw it in the bed for now. Look like the metal clips that hold the bolts have rusted. Not sure what it was covering under the truck, too rainy to under there. Probably nothing important. may **** with it in summer or trash the whole thing.

The transmission pan I'm guessing. hasn't really looked, it was raining ground was wet. It is made out of felt/carpet-type material.

Probably engineered to hide future oil leaks.

Many people just leave it off, it was only present on 3.5 engine trucks, anyway. Or maybe both V6s. I've never even seen one in person.
