Default Rear shocks

I have a 2010 XLT 6.5 bed with the 5.4L. I am looking into putting new rear shocks on.

My issue is that I only have about 1 inch of clearance at the top of my garage opening right before the topper goes through. So I can’t take to much lift in the rear. Prefer no lift at all.

My question is, any one who has installed the Blistien or Fox shocks, did you get any lift from stock? If not, which brand and model did you install?

Changing your rear shocks will not give you any lift.

^^^ Correct for most standard shocks.

However, you might get anywhere between 1/2" and up to 2" of rear lift if you install load adjusting shocks. So stay away from those and you should be good.

I just put Bilstein 5100's on my ( rear) lowered '13 4WD. Lift blocks have been removed to level the truck. I was concerned because the 5100's are gas charged and I wanted ZERO lift. I got ZERO lift and they are awesome shocks.
Hope this helps!

Truck has almost 62,000 miles. Ride is still smooth and doesn't seem to bounce much so I'm still thinking they are good. However, don't want to be looking for what to buy when I need it.

So, since I am not looking to lift my truck, 5100s may be waste of money for me? What do you guys think of the 4600s? I've read a lot of good reviews on the 5100s and the few that I have found so far on the 4600s seem to be favorable as well.
