Default Rear Defrost button not working

Has anyone had the rear defrost button stop working? light doesn't come on the button and the side mirrors and rear defrost stay fogged up..
If you have had it fixed.. what'd it cost?

It's probably in the wiring near the window.

There might be a relay for it in the engine fuse box. I pulled it and used to replace another one on my 2012 since I don't have a rear window defroster on mine.

I found it in the Power Distribution Box diagram. Is there a way to see if a relay is blown? Or just replace it and see if it fixes it?

Oh. just reread your answer. I can pull one from another spot and see if it works.

I was testing some of mine yesterday. Continuity test on multimeter between each end. If its OL its blown. Might be visible from the top with the clear top ones. I replaced my blown cig lighter one yesterday. Now it works which hasn't since I bought the truck in 2018.

Swapping relays didn't work.
I'll suck it up and have the dealership look at it some day.

Mine has done the same thing now for about 1 1/2 years. I was told to check the rear sliding window connection. If it is corroded or is not closing completely, it won't work. Wasn't my case unfortunately. Then I was told there is a connection behind the back seat under the window that goes bad. (Might be a relay or something, I have forgotten) If it IS the connection under the window, there is a way to bypass it, but you risk the window shattering if you do it! So I had it quoted to replace the back window, I was told $1800.00!! So needless to say, my rear defogger is still not working, sadly. Good luck and please repost if you figure out your issue.

Finally brought it into the dealership to have it looked at. They said the whole rear sliding window needs to be replaced. $980 for the window (prepay) and then about 4.5 hours of labor.. So about $1800 total.. Oof
