Default Read wheel well install

Bought wholesale for 104 bux.....install was easy no issues. Look great more important keeps sand and salt from rotting the bed! 10 mm socket is all that was needed.

I am not exactly sure if we are talking about the same thing but you can get those liners from Rugged Liner for like $82 and free shipping on ebay

Just installed my wheel well liners on my 09 xlt, bought them on E-Bay $82 including t/s easy install faster and easier than instructions that were not for my truck however they do give you the idea of what you need to do just needed a 10mm socket and two of the small push fasteners that came with the liners .yes we removed the wheels for easier install

+1

I got mine in two days. It was a bit of a pain to get them in with the wheels on, and the instructions aren't good with respect to where the liner rim goes. The first one took me an hour, the second about ten minutes. It isn't hard, but it definitely helps if you're familiar with the task at hand.

The reason the first one took so long was that I was trying to get the liner rim all the way inside the wheel well, but it's supposed to go between the wheel well edge and the wheel well moulding, except at the very bottom. I think.

I just ordered a pair of the Rugged Liners from Ebay but have one question. I saw an installation video on You Tube and it showed inserting 3 small plastic pins through the holes already in the edge of the fender. The only thing is, on my Platinum, those holes already have plastic pins or rivets in place holding the factory fender well moldings in place. What have you guys with similar done> Pulled the factory pins and reused them through the fender flare, fender and the liner?

I have had both the rugged liners and the ford liners and I like the ford liners best. I bought the rugged liners on ebay for $79 shipped, installed them myself on a 2011 Lariat. When I got the 2012 Platinum I decided to try the ford liners, bought them at my local dealership for $130 and installed them myself. The ford liners installed a little easier than the rugged liners and IMHO are made of higher quality material and I think they mount more securely. I don't think you can go wrong with either but the ford liners are more refined and more expensive.

The liners come with more of the plastic pins. If you can remove them without destroying them, you can reuse the original ones. Otherwise, you can use the ones that come with the liners. There is a tool you can get that makes it easy to take them out for reuse, but if you use a knife or pliers, you'll likely destroy them taking them off and want to set something on fire once you're done.

Sorry, no pics. I've taken half a dozen and they always come out too dark and you can't really see the liners.
