Default Raptor suspension swap

I'm wondering if anyone knows if the coilovers, fox shocks, uca's/lca's from a Raptor can replace the stock suspension ? I have a 2010 4x4 xl. I've installed an AS 2.5" level kit and 285/75/18's. It's seems similiar to the Camburg set, I think ? I called the Ford parts dept. the dude said no ! I asked why ? He said the Raptor was wider, but he did'nt seem to be able to give any detail as to why not. If anyone out there can give me some real info. I'd be thankful.

Believe the "Ford parts dept. ... dude" ...
  • wider track.
  • different control arms.
  • different suspension geometry.
    etc.,etc.,etc..

He's right. The Raptors are built wider. The axles are different from our f-150.

Nothing would fit. the shocks are too long and wouldn't fit with front stock set up. The rear mounts are different too.

The wider track is due to the wider A arms. Could it be done? I bet it would be all bolt on BUT like the other said you would have to find all the parts including the longer shafts.

Actually, I think the shafts are longer and larger diameter.

Buy the Camburg set up if your looking for a long travel suspension. I am assuming you are doing some desert running? It's pricey but it is actually a real good product. A lot cheaper than a Raptor conversion....LOTS.

If you are not doing any serious wheeling or desert running, then I would not waste my money...just lift your rig. These are performance suspension setups made for running...Not mall crawling.

Forgot to add, if ur going to wanna make all this work and have it done, ur better be prepared to dish out a butt load of money! You'd probably be better off trading in ur truck and getting either a new or used Raptor.

I've actually wondered the same thing myself for a while. I've started to collect pieces to attempt something like this at a future point. I have the front and rear shocks and uca's. I will probably start a thread as I get more involved with it.

Which components did you go with ? I'm looking into the Icon, Total Chaos, and Camburg setups. Whichever is chosen, it will be pricey. Looking for more wheel travel. My truck sees all types of terrian, even the mall once in awhile, lol. Right now I have the AS 2.5" level, with285/75/18" Toyo Open Country A/T's. From the ground up to the center of the wheel well, it measures 41", so I have decent lift, able to fill up the wheel wells and still have wheel travel. Would love to have a Raptor, but $50k for a truck did'nt set will with me. I hate debt!!!

the camburg performance kit at 2800 is a fraction the cost that a raptor conversion will cost, and you'll have near the same travel.
