Just picked up a raptor exhaust for my 2010 fx4. Going to get it put on this week. Any word on the drone, if any? I got a 24' camper and was wondering what to expect.

I've had mine for several months now, and not a bit of drone (even when I'm boat-towing). have my resonator deleted too, so you should be fine

I continue to watch for a low mileage Raptor S-Crew cat-back system (complete incl res pipe) for my S-Cab using Search Tempest but seems supply of used OEM Raptor stuff is quickly being depleted with the only remaining new trucks being those not yet sold in dealer stock. Just yesterday, I was down in the Phx area at the well known desert racer fab shop picking up a pair of Raptor S-Cab side boards (installed 'em this afternoon ) and was told pretty much the same thing. Although my FX4 has same engine as Raptor, hp at the rear wheels is more than likely less with non-Raptor exhaust necking down and restricting flow. I'm hoping to find a nice system soon for not too much $$...

MurphM - You have to get a piece made to go from 2.5 to 3 inch piping then I think it is pretty straight forward
Grand Rock Exhaust Systems makes the adapter that you will need to go between the intermediate/resonator pipe and the pipe on the front of the muffer ...

*Part # R3I-25OA 2½" OD inlet / 3" ID outlet / 8" long
I am currently waiting for delivery of one so that I can install the Raptor exhaust system *new* take-off that I've acquired.

BTW ... You will also need an 3" exhaust clamp to attach the adapter to the muffler. Opted for the stainless steel band variety ...

*Part # 36439 DYNOMax
In addition, the plan is to replace the Raptor exhaust tips with a pair of ...

Part # 500419-B 2½" inlet / 4" outlet / 12" long
Ceramic Coated Matte Black Stainless Steel

Thanks for the info. I was just gonna go to a muffler shop and get them to make the piece and weld it all up but know I'm unsure.

Exhaust is being installed tomorrow. Just wondering if I will run into any issues. The exhaust is from a 2010 raptor SCab and I'm putting it on my 2010 SCrew. Besides it being a little bit short. Will all the exhaust hangers line up?

A good muffler shop will make it hook up in stock hang points .....no problem

Raptor exhaust on an FX4?-image-2990008685.jpg

I have a 2011 fx4. Bought a 2010 raptor exhaust and it went on almost perfect. Paid $80. The 2010 raptors with the 5.4 have a 2.5 in exhaust. One hanger did not line up, the one welded directly to the muffler. Sounds a little deeper than stock. Next I have to get rid of the resonator.
