Default Raptor exhaust on an FX4?

So what do you think? Would the stock exhaust from a Raptor fit on an FX4? Love the look and sound of the Raptor exhaust, and I'm sure there has to be a pile of the stock exhaust systems out there that have been removed for an "upgrade".

Looks like I found one. Hope to do this project over the weekend and from what I hear it is a direct bolt on.

erm...unless you are going from a supercrew raptor to a supercrew fx4 with the 5.5ft bed. nothing is going to fit.

a supercab raptor has a 5.5ft bed. whereas a supercab fx4 will have a 6.5ft bed or 8 ft bed.

Depends. On the aftermarket exhausts most of them use the factory long tube and just replace the other parts. If this was the case for his project it might fit if the hangers were in the same place and he re-used the factory long pipe for his truck and just replaced the muffler and tip with Raptor parts but I dont think there is going to be a huge difference in sound, not like the Raptor rear end is a true dual setup, just one pipe from cat-muffler-two pipes-tips. May sound better than the factory but not like a system from Borla/Corsa/Gibson etc... sound clips will be required...

Also depends on the year. The 09's had the 5.5 bed available on the SCAB, which became reserved only for the Raptor for '10+

It will prolly sound good tho. I drove my buddies raptor this weekend. and it had a nice growl to it.

Not necessarily. The Raptor exhaust note is a combination of the exhaust and custom valve timing on the Raptor engines.

The Raptor also has a bigger motor which is also going to sound deeper and have a better "growl".

Gotta love the internet skeptics. Guys, it took me almost 4 months to track down the right exhaust. Supercrew Raptor to Supercrew FX4. Exhaust hangers are all the same and everything will bolt right up. I'm well aware it won't have the growl of the Magnaflow, but I have zero interest in a loud exhaust on my truck. I'll leave that for my 04' Cobra. Plus, what I am getting the Raptor exhaust for is a tiny fraction of the cost of a "true" aftermarket cat-back.

I promise a full write up with video once I get it done. Gotta make a 2 hour drive to pick up the exhaust, so once I find the time I'll make it happen. Anything to get rid of the ugly steel tailpipe my truck has now!
