Here's my setup. 2" spacer (readylift) and 3" block. I orginally clicked on this forum because I wanted 2.5" 3" spacer but no one in my area carries that. I like what I have I think it looks good. a thread without pictures sucks. a thread with arguing sucks even worse

The way I tend to look at it as a consumer:
Level kit for lift and looks only-$150-$250
Bilstein 5100's alone are an option to get you up to 2.5".
Bilstein coilover for lift and performance upgrade-$650-$800 depending on sale prices etc.
icon/king/etc. for lift and top of the line performance-$1000-$1400 depending on sale prices etc.
bracket lift for big height lifting 4" and up with stock suspension-$1100 and up from there
As a consumer pick what is best for your needs and price range. There's not really a right answer just opinion, which we all like to give obviously haha. Personally I think if you're gunna go 6" you are definitely gunna want to do bigger tires and rims to finish the look. Expensive stuff, and then if you are gunna go that big you may even end up looking into regearing.

Got mine installed!
I like 'em. Here are a couple of photos of my truck with the F150lifts coilover Bilstein shocks.
The front end is a little higher than the rear. The front coilover raised the front exactly 3"...just as advertised. Since I tow a travel trailer quite a bit, I put on a Roadmaster Active Suspension spring on the rear (to keep the bed from sagging too much with close to 1000# hitch weight) which raised the back approx. 1.5" (this was probably not necessary since I use a WD hitch as well.) and the front end is still higher than the back. The front is @ 40" (measured from the ground to the center of the wheel well); the back is @ 39 1/4".
Not sure if I'm going to raise the back,, or lower the front? How would I go about adjusting the front? Which way (and which nut) do I turn to lower the front? Probably need to lower the front by 3/4".
I'm a novice mechanic.....at best, and the install was fairly simple. The most difficult part was getting the lower shock bolt out. I had to borrow an impact wrench to get it out. A demo video of the install would have made it much simpler. I ended up using the Rancho Quicklift Youtube video as a crutch and that explained things pretty well.
I really liked the way my truck rode before (I just wanted to raise the front a little, and wasn't interested in a leveling kit), so I was a little apprehensive about swapping things out. To me, it rides exactly the same as before....so I'm very happy about that.
Overall, it was a worthwhile project; I learned some new stuff about my truck, learned some new things about tools (I never knew there were sockets specifically made for impact wrenches...that's good to know...like I said, I'm a novice) and I got spend sometime with my Son doing "guy" stuff.....and I got rid of the factory rake

I assume and could be wrong but righty tighty, lefty loosy? You will most likely have to do it with the front off the ground to take weight off suspension to do it though.
Yep, different sockets! Lol you would be amazed how working with the right tools helps! I put on a lift on my Jeep using just hand tools and beat the hell out of myself doing it whereas now I can afford the right tools and it makes things so much easier.
Maybe you could take pics of your ball joints and CV shafts?

We don't want to engage in any arguments with anyone, that's not what we are here for. However, While everyone is entitled to their opinion, our engineers don't agree with your statement as the gospel. At 100,000 miles, there are many things that are showing signs of wear, not just ball and cv joints.
