Have have the message back everyday now and I have to start my truck at least every couple of days or it kills the battery. Battery voltage drops approximately 1v per day. (measured)

Good point Bhayward. I hadn't thought of that.

Could be an over charge situation. Mine still appears to be OK with just a short time of the engine running after the warning returns. Might have to have the wife drive it to work more.

Count me in on this problem. The dealership replaced the battery once, but problem came back. I have an appointment Thursday, but after reading the 29 pages on this problem I don't think the problem will be resolved. Did check voltage this morning before starting the truck and it was 11.6v. Checked after driving 25 miles and it was 12.1v.
2013 XLT 5.0 2500 miles.

Well after having the black box on my truck for a week, ford finally replied and said 'this vehicle has only been driven 700 miles in a little over a month. this problem appears to being caused by many I short trips, any aftermarket accessories on this vehicle they further make his problem worse. Vehicle is operating as it should be be driven more.

They had it for almost 2 weeks of that little over a month that they're complaining that it was driven so little.

Wow thanks ford

So, you have 700 miles in 2 weeks. 350 per week.
I have only driven mine an average of 180 miles per week since I got it, so half what you drive yours. It might sit for a week without driving it. On top of that, I have left the radio on and sometimes lights on after turning off the truck, until the timer turns them all off. Done that many times when waiting for my son after games. It's been a cold winter here too ( -14F this morning). I've never seen any of the errors or messages you guys are seeing.

Who else has the dealer installed remote start that are having this issue?

I got this message a few times and as I do not drive the truck a lot I thought that this was the issue. I do let it run a lot as it is cold. I drive about 4km to work and back some days. I did drive about 350KM a few days ago and did get the same message after about 20 seconds. I will be taking my truck in for its first Oil change soon and will mention this thread.

I know that they will mention to me the limited amount of Kms but I will show them the gas consumption to prove I have been running this truck a lot which should keep the battery charged.

To follow up and address that load of horse**** that Ford sent back to my dealer - I just finished making a 185 mile round trip to St Louis to pick up a comnpressor at Harbor Freight. See what I did here? long trip, nonstop both ways and shut off for about 15 minutes while they loaded.

Guess what I saw on my screen when I shut it off in St Louis and again when I got home?

No idea....
