Yesterday got the "low battery " message at start up from sitting overnight, but not the "battery saver mode" when I shut off the engine.

So maybe the remote starter is part of it and also the battery isn't great either. However the battery did pass a load test.

man this truck is really getting the best of me.... so its done it 3 days in a row, I call the dealer this am and they say bring it in, I go there at lunch and leave the truck running as I want to show the tech and service guy that it does it. they come out to the truck and jump in it with me and i turn the truck off and NO "system off to save battery" appears..... WTF... there must be some magic beacon at the dealer lot that makes all the issues go away when its on there property.......

This what I got this morning. Sorry, I don't know why they attach sideways. Made another appointment. Next Tuesday, I'm first in line.

They won't believe your pix?
I would be curious to see what the folks at Ford engineering are saying about this. The internet is lousy with postings for this problem and also like your's, dead truck after sitting a few hours.

The dealer believes me, the problem is at Ford. in regards to my truck being dead Ford keeps saying that because the dealer cant replicate the issue that they cant diagnose and fix it so I'm **** outta luck.....

This is also the reason I do not jump my truck anymore and make roadside come out to jump it because that's the only way I can really have any "proof" that it was dead.

Pretty sad all the **** I have to go through owning a NEW truck.....
if i wanted this much hassle I should have saved $7k and just bought a used one....

On my 2011 and 2012 trucks, I would get this same message. I was using something similar to this:

Once I stopped using that I never got the message again.

Stills seems suspicious that both of you guys have dealer added Ford OEM remote start/security systems, and both are having these issues. Sure seems like their install messed up something in your BMS.

I haven't had a dead battery, yet. But I have the low battery warning issue and my truck is stock.

Some of the ones that I have seen have factory remote start so I don't think that is the issue, bad cell in a batch of batteries is what we are finding. Replace the battery, clear any codes and all seems ok.
