Default New tires tomorrow

Taking truck to discount tomorrow to get new tires. What to make sure they will be good to go. Truck only has 1100 miles I just want something bigger than the skinny stock 235's.

Tires: Nitto Terra Grapplers 265/70 17

2010 xlt 2wd, have a leveling kit in garage for it just haven't put it on yet. Don't think I will need though to clear these. Any input on this before tomorrow morning. Will post up pics tomorrow night when i get home.

those will fit with no problems. since you have a leveling kit waiting to be put on, why not try 285/70/17's? these are about the same height as my 265/70/18's and i don't have any issues without a leveling kit. my truck is 2wd also.

Was looking into 285's but price is quite abit more and don't want to kill gas mileage too much. Looked into Lt tires too but again they are heavy and weigh truck down. For what I do with my truck, just a little bump up will be good. I don't offroad or anything. Truck is at shop right now

Nevermind, sorry I'm slow, I just read you have a 2wd, so forget what I said.

I think 265/70/17s will look good, you will have no problem fitting this size or even a 285/70/17. The factory wheels have a +44 offset so they work great for this tire size. Before I had my 1-1/2 leveling kit installed I had new wheels put on and they have a 0 offset. I have 275/70/17s and they still cleared.

Lance70,
Do u have a 2wd, and also can u explain the +44 offset thing, cuz I have a 2wd non-leveled and I can't decide 265 or 285.

Hi, no sorry I have a 4wd, so I can't say for sure on a 2wd and I don't want to tell you wrong. I'm sure someone on here has done this and could say one way or the other. Below is a good explanation of wheel offset and it has a few drawings to really show what's going on.
