Hey guys. I'm getting ready to swap out the resistor for my fan because it's stuck on one speed, but I also had the issue where the recirculating door gear had broken. So I took the blower motor out to move the door to 'recirculate' and perform the screw mod when I happened to just try to spin the squirrel cage on the blower (it was disconnected completely from the truck). It did spin, but not as freely as I would have expected. If I tried to spin it, as soon as my hand left the cage it would quickly stop. Is this normal? If not, I'm going to replace the blower motor while I'm at it. Thanks in advance!

I ordered a new one. I'll see how freely it spins.
