I had a fiberglass frame built, but I now have a 2012 Platinum F150 and wanted to utilize my ipad Air again and keep the Head unit and Bluetooth sync. I came up with the idea of using a Ipad smart cover. I cut the cover almost down to the magnet and used a piece of the cover as a base. I used the top two factory screw holes (you need longer screws) that hold the frame for the head unit. The piece simply uses the strong magnet and hangs over the head unit. It works really well and I have had it in for two months now and it has never fallen or pulled away from the magnet. It's also hardly noticeable.
