I installed the brake controler module. bought a trailer 7x14 and realise that when i plug it everything work except the running light on the trailer... so i started testing all the wire and realise there is no power on the running light wire on the plug (on the truck) because when i put power directly to the wire on the trailer everything light up... so to have the running light working i had to rewire the running light wire on the trailer to the power wire...

That way everything work #1 but is it normal to not have any power on the running light connector ??

 

Check the under-hood fuses. I don’t know which # it is and it seems to vary between years, but trailer wiring has its own set of fuses.
