Second, you misread my original post. I didn't say that you couldn't run 4L at speeds over 3mph. I said that the manual states that you can't ENGAGE 4L at speeds above 3 mph. There's a big difference!

Third, I was clear that the 62 mph and 56 mph numbers came from the manual. Again, notice the quotes. That's the whole point of my question. Those numbers make no sense to me. They obviously make no sense to you either. But that's what the manual says and that's why I posted this question.

As for posting a picture or link: I didn't think that was necessary. The quotes I posted are exact word-for-word quotes from the manual except that I capitalized a few words for emphasis. But, so there is no question about this, I will include cuts & pastes from the online PDF version of the manual in a post that will follow.

So, my question still stands exactly as I wrote it. It appears that others agree with me that the manual makes no sense in this regard. I was just checking to see if I was missing something, that's all.

If you don't have your owner's manual, you can download it or just read it on the Ford site. My quotes came from the current issue (2nd Printing).

As for how you use your different modes, I understand all that but that's not what my question was about. I don't know how I could have been any more clear in my original question. This is why I hesitate to even post questions in forums.
Wow. You sound like a bundle of joy, Bob. I wasnt saying you were incorrect, I said I never heard those numbers. Also, the 4 lo excerpts still make absolutely zero sense to me... Those speeds are simply unattainable so I don't get what they mean.
