Pulsating Throttle on Start
I've read countless threads on "shuddering" at speed but haven't came across this symptom. When I first start up my truck for the day (after it has been sitting for a while) and drive off I get a real bad pulsating in the throttle up until about 10 MPH. The sensation feels as though you are continuously pressing and releasing the throttle bad enough to jerk you around pretty good. Once you get above 10 MPH or let completely off the throttle and press it again the pulsing stops. It also seems to get worse the more the wheels are turned (like when pulling out of a parking spot). The problem is intermittent and doesn't happen ALL the time. Just trying to see if anyone else has this problem? Going in for my first service soon so I'll get the dealer to check it out but just wanted to see if this was a common problem?
BTW it is a 2012 SCREW 5.0L 4x4

there are a couple other threads on here about the same problem on 5.0L. it apparently has to do with the timing being super retarded on initial start-up or something along those lines. mine seems to do it more on the 2nd start of the day. I dont notice it in the morning, but after the truck sits at work all day, when I start it and drive off, sometimes it jerks so bad feels like I have a manual trans and dont know how drive clutch

Mine has done it 3 times now in 4000 miles. It's always the first drive of the day with a very gentle light acceleration. I have been giving it a little more gase on launch and it has not happened since.

My dad's 6.2 does this, both on his Escalade and Limited. I'm sure it's normal for a v8 engine.

Guess I'll just try giving it more throttle on start up. Mine has less than 3000 miles on it and has happened probably 10 times so far....I'm sure it is nothing serious but is slightly annoying.

Got a tune from Mike at 5 star tuning and he's fixed that issue. After I installed the tune I checked timing upon start up and it was 10.5 instead of -9*....a 19.5* difference.

Yup you have described the issue perfectly, and your right it does it worse on the second startup of the day. Only thing that makes it better is to put your right foot into it. I haven't taken it in because I figure they will cay that it is normal or within spec and they will have to keep it over night to diagnose it.
Would love to know if they ever come out with a fix.

Mine does it only on the first decent acceleration of the day ... by real I mean minus backing out of parking space ... also seems to only do in first may be just me ... 700 miles maybe has done 7 times
