Im less than satisfied with the light output of my OEM headlughts and i dont wat to just go the regular route and put HIDs in the stock lights, so im considering a projector retrofit. has anyone done one? if so which projector shrouds did you pick and do yall have any pictures? would i be better off just buying recon headlights? sorry to bombard yall with questions im just curious. thanks in advance.

 

My buddy has done a few with mustangs. I think he charges about 100 over parts or so not sure how much it would be in the 150. Let me know if u want ne to have him email u or something

 

The Retrofit Source has an amazing selection and has everything you need to do the job to your truck. They also have a forum with all sorts of pictures and how to's with it as well. If you search for retrofit or the name of the company either here or on a few other F150 websites out there, you will find more than enough information to get you started.

FYI, there is someone in the for sale section on here that is doing the projector conversions for a very reasonable price. He is currently building a set for me.

I'd be wary of the Recons. For almost $500 bucks, you don't get much in the way of a good projector. It does not have a very good cutoff as the projector was not meant for HID application. I've seen a few in person on the F150 and a few other truck with Halogens and HID's both and they look horrible to me. Not anywhere near worth that kinda price for those lights.
