Default Problems after recall

I’ve got a 2012 f150 fx4 5.0 after recall 19v-075 (oss sensor) I’ve had nothing but problems. Was passing 2 cars doing 85 and it went from 6th to 1st! What a ride home from work that was. Now it vibrates, seal in rear end started leaking,(replaced) driveshaft yoke broke causing driveshaft to slam the road and bottom of bed. Another wild ride gone from work! (Replaced) now it shakes really bad but can’t find where’s problem. Any help or anybody having problems???

Please research transmission lead frame failure and see if the systems are what you are experiencing? If so, and your truck has less than 150K miles, its covered by a special extended warranty.

So, there is a recall (software) and a warranty extension (hardware) on this. The symptoms you describe are exactly what both of those are supposed to prevent. If you just had either of those done at a dealer, that downshift should not have happened. You should go back and find out if they did anything to your truck at all.

And make sure they did the correct reflash done. It appears the first reflash to fix this issue had problems.

They had a recall on the recall as weird as that sounds but yeah the 2nd flash is supposed to work. Don't hold your breath.

It's Ford's way of putting a bandaid on a wound that needs stitches. They should just replace the lead frame to begin with.

Thanks Dave, that’s what It comes down to is the leadframe. It’s one big hassle that’s for sure. I took it it for the reflash and it seems to be working fine on that end but everything else is going to pots!
