Default Problem with dash screen display/ 2011 ecoboost

After adding my trailer info on my dash screen display whenever I turn on the ignition the trailer display shows up. When I purchased my 2011 ecoboost the default was the fuel economy screen and this is what I would like to always show up. What did I do wrong? I tried resetting to factory defaults but that didn't help. Thanks for any replies.

I'll test this theory today, but I think mine comes up to whatever it was on when the vehicle was shut off.

Default Same problem - any one fixed this?

I have just had the same problem. I've tried changing the Menu settings to see if I can change the default start screen in the LCD - no luck.

My next option is to try and hook up another trailer to see if that helps.

I am new to the forum so if this has been answered some where else - just point me in the right direction.

Anyone able to change this / fix it?

I should mention - 2013 FX4, ecoboost

Yep tried that. It just keeps defaulting to the Trailer Display whenever I restart the truck.

Well I am full out of ideas. It does make me wonder if there is a short in the trailer wiring making the computer think a trailer is attached.

Mine does the same. Whichever screen it is displaying when I turn off the ignition is the screen that is displayed when I restart the truck.

Mine comes on when I hook up my camper, but my utility trailer it doesn't. I switch over to MPG screen, but as long as the camper is connected, the trailer screen shows up on startup.

Go back to the trailer screen and make sure it isn't set to a connected trailer. Mine did this until I went back to the default setting.
