Default problem with "100 series remot start"

Hi

I bought this part "BC3Z-19G364-A"

and I installed it but the remote keys doesn't work, only the key it self is working in the ignition but the remote doesn't work at all even for locking and unlocking.
I tried every possible way but nothing happened even I changed the battery and nothing.

Dose anyone had this problem?

You'll need your dealer to activate / program it. You can do the install but they still need to enable and program the keys to work.

Azuri is correct about the dealer needing to activate the remote start function through the IDS

did you code the new keys to your truck? this should allow lock / unlock to work with your new keys

need to program ALL the keys when you do this

Insert Admin Key 1: Turn to On, Turn to Off. Remove Key.
Insert Key 2: Turn to On, Turn to Off. Remove Key.
Insert New Key: Turn to On. Wait a few Seconds. Turn to Off. Remove Key.

To program the fob part of the key lock/unlock you have to turn a key to the run (not start) position and back to the off position I think about 6 times ending in the run position, your door locks will cycle letting you know it's in fob programming mode.

Press any button on each of the key head fobs, with each press the locks will cycle, do this with ALL key/fobs, when done turn the key off, the locks will cycle again to let you know it is no longer in programming mode.

That will take care of that part, in order to make the remote start part function requires activation via IDS as mentioned already.

+1 I just done this to mine like a week ago. I would also bring instructions on the ford tech needs to program it using their IDS. If it takes them more than 5 mins. They are doing something wrong. Had mine program last Sat and cost me $75.

Have you changed the battery out in the remote? Also where did you buy the remote start? I bought mine from a dealership on ebay. Also look in your dash msg system to see if it shows your remote start active.

You hooked it up correctly? No pinch wires from glove box?
It looks like this http://m.ebay.com/itm/181322577281#
