Power windows do not work - 2010 Supercrew XLT
2010 Ford F150 SCrew XLT, power windows do not work. Car running all doors closed tightly (not ajar) and I try to operate the power windows: I hear the power window fuse relay click (position 47, located in the passenger side interior fuse box), I get a door ajar alert and the interior lights above the rearview mirror light up - the windows do not respond. The door ajar and lights go out at the moment I release power window switch. None of the window switches work their respective windows including the master set at the drivers door position. The power locks work and the remote controlled side mirrors work, I am stumped.
Thanks for all suggestions!!!:help: |
Easy fix ! Take to dealer in AM - pick up in PM. Done

Strangeness with switches and door moving parts, especially with the door ajar message makes me think you have a broken wire in one of the door boots. When you activate the switch, it shorts or makes a strange connection.
If you're comfortable, you can slide the rubber boots off the bundle and check out the wires. It's common to have a few in bad shape, especially the left rear door on screws. Edit.. Check out these guys. All had a broken ground wire in drivers door bundle. https://www.f150forum.com/f4/power-w...ed-help-67626/ |
