Power Fold Tow Mirror Folded In By Hand?
Just got back from hunting on friday and my buddy folded my passenger mirror in by hand when we left the truck on the road to set our blind up.
(he owns a F350 6.0 and didn't know they even made power fold)
I didn't know he did it until he pushed it out when we got in the truck. Anyways they fold in and out with the power still everything seems ok.
My other friend on the hunt said nothing was hurt probably because they would design it to be moved by hand as well. I don't know for sure, would this cause damage? I don't know whats inside there. Hopefully I don't have a failure because my bumper to bumper is coming to an end soon.
Oh and by the way we nailed 2 mule deer bucks and a black bear on that hunt if you were curious lol

From the shop manual:.. Condensed...
Power Folding Mirrors (With Or Without Telescoping Mirrors)
NOTE: The power folding mirrors may need to be synchronized anytime the mirrors are folded or unfolded without using the exterior mirror control switch, or if a new power folding mirror is installed.
If the power folding mirrors are folded or unfolded continuously (6 to 10 cycles), the power lockout feature disables the system for approximately 3-10 minutes to prevent damage to the power folding mirror drive motors. After 3-10 minutes have elapsed, normal operation resumes. Before running a self-test or retrieving DTCs, the power fold switch must be inactive for at least 30 seconds.
