Default Powdercoat Stock rims

Hello everyone ,

I have a black 2014 Fx4 with the 20in upgrade wheels. However, they are the gunmetal color. I am going to be powder coating them flat black in the next couple of weeks.

My question to the community is should I Leave the lug nuts chrome or make them black as well?

I've been looking at pictures upon pictures of black wheels and I'm having such a hard time deciding.

All black like that won't look good imo.
The chrome lugs leave a nice clean amount of contrast.
I was going to powder coat mine black but I'm just going to end up getting fuel hostages instead

Lol, I was just about the post same topic! I also have a 2010, same wheels. I already have a rim set aside that i going to plasti dip a few different ways with different sections taped off. After I decide which one to go with ill have them powder coated. Im probably going with a gloss black as it will show the nice lines in the wheels better than flat imo.

Edit, sorry just noticed yours is a 14 not a 10.

Leave them chrome. Also the stock lugs are just a chrome cover

I'd go black too. To me, the point of flat black wheels is to have no contrast.

I had chrome lugs on my appearance package wheels. After a lot of back and forth I tried out the black lugs. Glad I did. Both look good though.
