Angry Possibly bought a damaged brand-new vehicle

Guys, I need your opinions.

It's been 1 month since I bought my brand-new 2014 F150 SuperCrew FX4 Luxury package.

I am not an expert at body imperfections, but 2 weeks after I bought my vehicle, I started to be suspicious about a possible repainted rear door. And today under some strong sunlight, I was quite sure my passenger side rear door had been repainted. I checked my photos on computer and I became more sure about that.

They sold me this vehicle as brand new, but it looks like I got a damaged vehicle. I won't care while I'll be owning the vehicle but what I care is when the time comes for selling it. For sure I will be selling it for less.

Please check the photos and give your opinions. There is 1,500 km. on it right now and it's already been 1 month since I got the vehicle. I think it's too late to make a complaint to the dealer. What do you advise me?

I agree that there is a noticable difference in the colors from front to rear.

Damn!!! I'm looking at the pics on my iPhone & it really sticks out.
I would definitely consult your dealer & concerns. Ask for a complete repaint and make sure it matches.
Possible accident in transport??? I wouldn't fret it too much if the truck & all else seems fine, but look harder for more clues & consult them on how they want to handle it & make sure they take care of you.
Again to answer your question... Oh yea- it's noticeable!
Keep us posted on the results!

To echo everyone else. Yes that rear door has been painted. More than likely transport damage, that was repaired. I have painted more than my share of brand new trucks, right off the transport truck. But at all the dealers I've worked at, no way in hell would that much of a color difference ever go out on a brand new truck, or any vehicle for that matter.

Without question, that's been repainted.
I hit a fire hydrant a couple weeks after I bought my 05.
In every angle the repair looked good. In direct sunlight the difference was completely obvious. I should never have accepted it.
As sucky as it is, something happened to your truck.
Your dealer has some serious questions to answer.

It always boggles my mind why many painters can't match silver. Some silvers I get, but ingot Silver? It's one of the easiest silvers to match.

To me it doesn't just look like its the door, looks like the whole back half is a darker shade than the front half! Personally I would want a new truck from that dealer - better yet get your money back and buy it from a different dealer

Thanks guys. Looks like I am right then. Everybody thinks the same.

Exactly MNFX4eco. Right side of the bed is darker as well. You're right.

I'll call and ask them.

Thanks for everybody's input.

Ford will say "they all come that way"

good luck ... if there was that much damage there should be documentation somewhere at the dealer. if they don't admit it and your sure, go to the law - probably civil matter but not familiar with Canadian law
