So while there is a lot of great info in this thread, Could someone please post a good, clear after-tap-in picture of the wires you hooked into? I have a '13 FX4 and for the life of me, I cannot figure out which wires to tap into! I have the lg/sm blues and 2 sm/1 L black wire setup at my connector. I'm using the 2.2EL wire w/inverter, and I bought a used cupholder off flea bay so as not to mess-up my original for resale. Any help will be appreciated!

was finally going to install the new EL wire since my original one was out. earlier in the day, there was a burning plastic smell in the cabin on the truck. I didn't know where it came from but quickly went away. well I figured out what that smell was. it was the inverter. not buying a new one and removed all wiring from the old one. not going to chance any future damage. it reached 109* here today and has been that hot the past month. that could have been a factor.

Resurrecting an old thread......has anyone done this mod on a 04-08. I have the FX4 with the flow through console, I think this would look awesome!
