Please help viper remote start install issues
2011 F150 XLT 5.0
So to start I went to a local installer which is same that the ford dealer sends customers to and had them install a viper model 4806v remote start. First attempt when I picked up the truck they said they could not complete the install due to ignition controlled locks and told me to take the truck to a dealer to turn off ignition controlled locks. After researching the only lock control features on the truck are autolock and autounlock which can be controlled from the instrument cluster. After scrolling through setup menu both options were turned off. I went in with forscan and disabled the unlock option because it unlocks the doors when key is removed, the auto lock I didn't bother because it only enables after vehicle is driving and left it turned off. When they programmed the systems remotes I also discovered one of my keys was engaging a door lock sequence when inserted into the ignition like it was in setup to program a new fob which was a new thing, so I ordered a new key and programmed it taking the new key and key that worked properly in for them to reflash the module to those keys thinking maybe the key was faulty. A side note on the key that was acting goofy it wasn't original because it had trunk release but was with the truck when I got it. Second trip he reflashes module and learns keys. Aftermath the doors wouldn't always lock when using remote start, the door locks would cycle unlock-lock-unlock and the ignition would trigger as if in run position (i.e. prime fuel pump and all that before starting), and the intkey could not program message would display on message screen at startup. At this point I'm told something is still wrong with the truck. When I got time I went back in with forscan, erased all the keys, ran diagnostics, no codes come back, so I reprogram the two good keys and take it back in to have them reset the transponder bypass system. After doing that it was still having the unlock issue and not locking doors on startup with the viper remote. So the installer disconnects the ignition wire from the transponder bypass module and that fixed the unlock button on the viper remote issue. Still though the system will not lock the doors when starting all the time and if I use the ford remote or door to lock the truck I cant use the viper unlock button or it will trigger the alarm. To me with my limited experience of installing remote starts 10 + years ago the installation was not performed correctly. I have been trying to call around other shops and dealers, searching google and here, to find someone who has experienced these issues but can't and the installer just claims my truck is the culprit as its the only one he has had issues with. Just the facts that the intkey message comes up when the system is paired with the truck and the ignition wire is getting power when the unlock button was pressed makes me feel strongly its an install issue. If anyone has the patience to read this and can help give some insight I would greatly appreciate it. Also the ford key fobs do not have any issues and work like they should.

Update, so I called Travis from KCautosound because he was mentioned as being knowledgeable with remote starts for these trucks. Really a great guy despite him busy with work he took time out to just discuss things with me a bit on the trucks and the systems. He no longer does viper but installs compustar. After talking with him he agreed it sounds more like an install issue so I called a local compustar installer and they were also really great to speak with and are going to work with me more. So I called my viper installer and have an appointment to have it removed and get a refund and plan on going to get the compustar installed because it sounds like they work much better with the fords. I will post an update if there is still issues with the compustar and it turns out my truck is the one in a million that just wont accept an aftermarket system.
