Default Please Help: Transmission slipping, too much fluid?

Good Evening,

I've owned my 2011 EB starting when it had 20k miles in 2016 up until now having 93k miles. I haven't touched the fluids of the tranny per Ford recommendations. This week I have noticed the transmission slipping more often under load. One particular instance was a scenario where i needed to get on the gas, the transmission down shifted and the engine just spun. No hook up. I chalked it up to the fluid needing changed soon. Sometimes i tend to catastrophize things so I also thought I ruined something. However, there are no lights on in the dash and the transmission has shifted through all gears. I did feel like the truck has been kind of boggy and a dog lately.

A friend of mind recommended I check the fluids in the tranny. So i followed the recommendation from Ford.
1) Heat the transmission up
2) Put shifter into each gear for 5 seconds.
3) Let idle while I unbolted the plug from the passengers side of the tranny.

When I got it loose, tranny fluid started overflowing. It kind of gushed out for a second then was a slow drip for a while. Obviously, I couldn't check the fluid level. The fluid looked clear-redish. Not dark at all.

After this happened, I tightened it down, and drove it home. It actually felt like it rode well again. Maybe it was in my head.

So, was there too much fluid in my tranny? What do you all think? Should i have the pan dropped and filter changed for the service anyway?

Thanks for all the help. I love my truck but have little time to work on it now a days.

Is that possible? The tranny cooler is oil to air cooler, isn't it? Thanks for the reply
